We met in 2021 through mutual friends (we love you Laura-Anne and Austin!) After a couple years of us seeing each other while hanging out with our respective close friend and a few DMs sent from Conner... we went on an approachable golf double-date. Basically we were both thinking that if the date went horribly, maybe things wouldn't be too awkward going forward.

Surprise! We both did not want the date to end. We felt a level of comfort, trust, and silliness together immediately. Our first real date was not even a week later at Home Bar in Kirkwood, down the street from Mary Elise and her sister Erin's house. We didn’t know it was karaoke night and there was real talent in the rather quiet bar. We enjoyed the free show while quizzing each other over trivial pursuit cards.

The first signs we were in love came from small intimate moments together. Like when we were watching Love on the Spectrum Australia and said the exact same sentiment at the exact same time. Our days are still filled with little moments of secret connection and likely telecommunication.

Conner's proposal was a complete surprise. Seriously, Mary Elise was in a Braves baseball cap. Mary Elise came home from a work trip on a Thursday in September, expecting Conner to be in the office. Instead he was at home waiting with the engagement ring of her dreams. We are honestly so excited to spend our lives together!
